“This mark shows that the Cathedral of Notre-Dame de Paris is uniting, as we see every day among the actors working on the restoration”specified Philippe Jost, president of the public institution Rebâtir Notre-Dame de Paris, in charge of the restoration of the cathedral.

“This joint program already gathers about fifteen very nice proposals, intended for the general public whose interest is growing, as the works progress and as we approach the reopening of the cathedral, planned for December 8, 2024,” said Philippe Jost.

Espace Notre-Dame Exhibition “Notre-Dame de Paris: in the heart of the construction site”
The public institution Rebâtir Notre-Dame de Paris offers educational and didactic courses, with free and open access, as close as possible to the monument.

National Exhibition of Furniture Great Decorations of Notre-Dame
From April 24 to July 28, 2024, the Regional Authority for Cultural Affairs (DRAC) of Île-de-France and National furniture they offer a unique view of the cathedral’s decorations.
From masterpieces salvaged from the April 15, 2019 fire to contemporary pieces designed for the building’s renovation, this exhibition will highlight the renovation and rethinking work done over the past five years interior design.
Among the main works, twenty-one paintings, including thirteen Maya, created by renowned painters of the 17th century and restored under the guidance of DRAC Île-de-France, will be shown for the first time after two centuries in the same setting.
This is a unique opportunity to discover these works, the excellent knowledge and experience and the technical and scientific skills of the heritage restorers and the Center for Research and Restoration of the Museums of France (C2RMF) to restore them to their splendor before their reinstallation in the cathedral. .

Conference Study of Notre-Dame de Paris and its construction site
Along with craftsmen, companions, architects and engineers, more than 175 researchers, from laboratories located throughout France, mobilized to better understand the monument, learn more about medieval architecture and shed light on the restoration project. .
Divided into nine working groupsparticipate in the scientific support of the project, in an approach coordinated by the Ministry of Culture and the National Center for Scientific Work (CNRS).
