Saigontourist is helping to revive the international tourism market

Saigon General Tourism Company (Saigontourist) and its subsidiaries presented several programs aimed at promoting Vietnamese tourism in demanding markets in Europe, during the London World Travel Expo 2023.

World Travel Market London 2023 (WTM) took place from November 6 to 8 in London (United Kingdom), bringing together around 5,000 companies from Europe, America, the Middle East, Africa and Asia, to present travel destinations, products and services. The event gathered more than 30,000 visitors, some of whom established commercial cooperation with the exhibitors.

“Saigontourist Group participated in the event to help revive the international tourism market in the post-pandemic period, especially the European tourism market. The event also aimed to echo the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the United Kingdom (1973-2023)” said Pham Huy Binh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Saigontourist.

Saigontourist and Vietnam Airlines organized a joint stand where other units of the group participated, especially the travel company Saigontourist Travel or the hotels Majestic Saigon, Caravelle Saigon, New World Saigon, Grand Saigon…

On November 7, Saigontourist and Vietnam Airlines organized a “Happy hour” program – Sales meeting and raffle with attractive gifts.

Europe and the United Kingdom have always been important international markets for Saigontourist in recent decades. Its subsidiary Saigontourist Travel is a leading travel agency in Vietnam capable of strongly attracting European and British tourists.

Before the outbreak of COVID-19, this agency served about 111,000 European tourists traveling to Vietnam each year, including 58,005 British tourists, or more than 52%. In 2022, it also tracked 35,000 European visitors, including more than 1,000 Britons. In the opposite direction, he transported tens of thousands of Vietnamese tourists to Europe.

Saigontourist’s member units (hotels, resorts, golf courses, conference centers, seminars, etc.) in Ho Chi Minh City and other locations around the country have received more than 500,000 European visitors each year, generating thousands of billions of dong in revenue.

As part of the general plan for the recovery and development of tourism in the southern megacity and Vietnam, Compagnie Générale has been a pioneer in participating in numerous programs and events in leading international markets such as WTM London 2023. Its opportunity to strengthen the promotion and marketing of its new products and services in the main tourist markets around the world, but also to contribute to the efforts to revive tourism in the country.

From October 25 to 27, Saigontourist participated for the 14th time in a row at the international tourism fair ITB Asia in Singapore.

Japan from Ho Chi Minh City, the group organized the Vietnam Pho Festival for the first time, which attracted more than 85,000 visitors.

Still in the Japanese market, last July, Saigontourist and Vietnam Airlines also co-organized an event promoting Vietnamese destinations in Tokyo and Osaka.

In the 4th quarter, the group participated in numerous promotional events in key international markets such as Japan, Europe and America.
