Faced with the resurgence of land conflicts, the Togolese Tax Administration (OTR) and the Togolese Media Observatory (OTM) have come together, this October 24, 2023 media professionals to think about this topic.

Centered on the theme: “Land Security: An Alternative to Litigation”, the meeting aims to enable media people to immerse themselves in land-related concepts to enrich their production on land security, related alternative land issues and tax policy.

“At the end of this training, we expect journalists to be better informed about issues related to land security as an alternative to land disputes, as well as tax policy as a lever for development.” underlined Fabrice PETCHEZI, president of OTM.

On the sidelines of the meeting, the two institutions launched act 3 of the tax citizenship contest.

The competition is intended for all media professionals who work in audiovisual, written or online media. This is a three-minute production for radio journalists only. All candidates will be invited to produce their papers on a topic of their choice.

OTM will be responsible for establishing a jury composed of five people from partner institutions for this purpose.

The same meeting was held simultaneously in Atakpamé, Sokodé, Kara and Dapaong.
