80 years of the liberation of Grenoble: starts in November

Through the three-year project “80 years of the liberation of Grenoble, 1943, 1944 and 1945”, the City of Grenoble and its local partners offer the general public the opportunity to immerse themselves in the history of the Resistance Movement that earned Grenoble the honorary title of city, companion of the liberation.

Reviving the spirit of liberation and conveying the values ​​of peace and resistance: this is the challenge facing the city of Grenoble, called the capital of the Maquis, and its network of memorial associations, looking to the past to rethink our present and our future.

The extensive program that begins this year, in November, invites the public to discover the main dates in Grenoble’s history and significant events, in an approach that is simultaneously educational, cultural and artistic.
